This day has been a rollercoaster to say the least.

In the context of a month that keeps getting worse, the stocks were having a nice low volume rally. People were expecting US Fed President Jerome Powell's speech from Jackson Hole to give them reassurance that they would continue lowering rates. Just before that, China announced they would raise tariffs on crude oil, soy and automobiles, but to be honest that wasn't that much of a raise all things being equal. And when news hit that the Fed was open to lowering rates, this cancelled out the drop in effect.

But Trump got reaaaal mad. And after those tweets we're looking at a 3 percent drop in American stocks.
