Forgive my stream of consciousness, I'm tired this morning.
I don't see how the country doesn't collapse on itself in the next decade. The left (myself included) wants to enact laws that depend on local law enforcement to enforce, but law enforcement will either ignore the law or will selectively enforce it against minorities and poor people (mask mandates, gun regulation, drugs, etc). As an example, essentially every single county sheriff in the state of Wisconsin said they would not enforce the mask mandate.
If we fire LEOs in left-"controlled" cities/counties because they won't enforce the law, they'll just get re-hired at another precinct in rural areas or different states. If we put in criminal penalties for disobedience, they won't be enforced by the courts.
