Well, reading this was illuminating. The authors are right, the framework of which questions we ask and from whose perspective we answer matters, most especially with regard to the treatment of persons who have experienced extended and isolated traumatic conditions.
The ideas presented in this paper bring to mind in an abstract way the concept of restorative justice, and why it so frequently fails to deliver to the victims of crime meaningful results. It’s all about the focus of the framework.
