I’ve pretty much lost all my friends and it’s just me, my fiancée, and our cat. I don’t feel lonely, people are complex and it’s a lot of work to maintain relationships. I’m taking the path of least resistance, my relationships with the cat and my girl are easy and fulfilling. I don’t feel like I’m missing much.

No, my fiancée and I would much rather keep our money for each other and ride into the apocalypse in style.

While I like the McQuarrie influence in Rebels, the production of that show is pretty bad and TCW...the random chronology of the episodes, garbage filler, and wooden marionette character designs take me so far out of it. Everything else about TCW production-wise is top notch though. It's got some moments for sure and the show just looks so expensive.

I was wary of S2 splicing in a lot of broader Star Wars characters and storylines but I'll be damned if I'm not like "YES SHOOT IN RIGHT INTO MY VEINS" every time I actually experience it in this show.

This show really rescued Star Wars for me as a fan, I never gave up on it but it's been on life support for me after the Disney acquisition. There'd be little blips of life like in Solo or Rogue One and moments in the sequel trilogy and shows like Rebels but they're were largely just not up to par for me.

Nothing else in outside material has worked for me either except for Fallen Order and a couple comics. The Battlefront and Squadrons games, along with the various books, were disappointments IMO.

I know it would probably never happen but Valve should just let these guys make HL3 at this point. Absorb the studio or not just let these guys do it. I could even see them doing an Early Access run of the game so it’s not some overhyped disappointment and they can work with players and fans to do it right. That’s my dream anyway.

I’ll tell you the stress and fear has never really been about: can I go back to school? It’s always been, who is hiring a now 36-year-old graduate with a spotty work history (best I have is my current 5 years and counting at UPS) and zero work history in their chosen field?

I’m trying to make driver at UPS and it’s a solid 6 figure job with a heap of benefits and retirement safety, but I tried it last year (got kicked and have to wait to try again) and it was tough and I knew it would suck the life out of me and make me a miserable cunt, financially comfortable but miserable.

I’m engaged and I want to do right by my fiancée too.

I miss quality theatric animated films, 2-D or otherwise. Disney or anime, you have two options these days. Dreamworks is very hit-or-miss.

Then again, who the hell asked for a Tom and Jerry full-length feature anyway? I grew up watching it and I just can’t give a damn.

That’s the whole problem with this world right now, ironically in the Information Age: Everyone has a constant and unending source of information that says their particular bullshit isn’t bullshit at all but the real and very attacked and cornered “truth” that they are privy to above the mainstream “narrative”.
