- Welcome to Nightvale — Weird, funny, sci-fi podcast presented as a community-radio update from a small town in the desert.
- Off Book — Two brilliant improvisers (sometimes with guests) and their band improvise a half-hour musical comedy about a random topic. This never fails to make me giggle with glee!
- Ologies — Alie Ward interviews people about their specialty “ology”, from vulcanology to delphinology to just about anything else. I just love listening to these interviews where people talk about the thing that makes them tick!
- Arcane Carolinas — I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention this one, since one of the hosts is an old friend! Two guys explore folktales, legends, ghost stories, and bizarre tales from across the US.
I’m really happy whenever MUDs come up — I spent so much of college on them, it gives me a little blast of nostalgia! Some friends and I have run a MOO (the social version of a MUD) for the last 30 years as a way of keeping in touch. :)
