I feel the oposite to OP and i could not finished after three episodes, maybe if you have never watched the Anime you could like it. I could not stand all the changes they made to the source material and the changes were poorly managed. I did not give it a second chance after reading the writers and producers interview were they stated they fixed things you found on the Anime and adapted on their own way.

The trailer looks so much better than the last teaser. I still will hold my opinion until i see the first episodes knowing Netflix bad record of anime adaptations.

I'm pretty new to the "idea of" Mastodon, but isn't a large portion of the benefit of using Mastodon is that it's federated? Why wouldn't they spin up their own instance instead of forking the code base?

You can fetch Reddit RSS and filter sources with a RSS reader. I do use Feedly and it natively support RSS, Reddit and Twitter sources, really powerful for research or filter noise.

I agree with other opinions there are not best Reddit alternatives which fit it all. on r/redditalternatives i usually ignore the alternatives which are not decentralized , open souce or can be hosted. Content protocols will have its place as forums but new generations are moving to chat apps as Discord or Telegram channels.

This is my thought as well as someone who is building a community around Discord and Discourse, Discourse fills the gap or archiving threads and topics and best of all it has integration to Discord. I have seen other communities adding Telegram channels for announcements and discussion threads with groups, i think Telegram is moving to that area of building communities.

Guilded is Discord with more channel types as calendars and forums, but still not popular to use and closed source, not confident what will happen with my threads history if they ban my channel.

I disagree there has been consistintency of desktop environment of GNOME and KDE environments (as someone who has used GNOME, KDE, Fedora, Ubuntu, Xubuntu and Kubuntu). Speaking of Linux distributions in general they are fragmented alternatives to more consistent desktop environments as MacOS and Windows.

And as with all other things in Linux-space, the styling of QT and GTK apps can be customized and unified into a theme that works with your desktop environment, if you want to take the time to learn how to do that.

Users who use Linux distributions as developers and Linux enthusiast has the time to learn to do that, but mostly Windows and MacOS end users rather pay a solution which does not need to learn how to configure things. As the old say goes Linux is free if you do not value your time.

I am really surprised reading comments of people who rather wait any time it takes for Facebook and WhatsApp go online again than use regular phone calls or SMS. This proved how deep is Facebook and its ecosystem integrated on people lives even knowing how shit Facebook it is.

This is a hard battle not even Telegram can win it and Signal is a lost case.
