Another label to pay attention to IMO for similar-ish movies is Sony Pictures Classics (Brigsby Bear, Whiplash, Inside Man, And Moon).

Preface: I'm a pro-2A liberal that wants significantly increased gun regulations and a Trump impeachment.

    · I have not seen a single study correlating the sharing of violent memes and an increase in mass shootings. If you have some links handy, I'd gladly read them over.

    · If this encourages mass shootings, then shouldn't any other violent media (like the original clip from Kingsman) do the same?

Maybe the database is constantly updated with only people who are currently in country which narrows the results and greatly reduces false positives?

My wife and I recently spent 10 days in Ireland. On our trip home, we went through US Customs at the Dublin airport. When it was our turn to speak to the TSA agent, we were called over to the desk and the agent asked my wife to stand in front of the camera. I assumed she was just getting her picture taken, similar to what we had done by Jamaica Customs when we flew into Montego Bay a couple years ago. Before she could even give him her passport or boarding pass , the agent asked "So <wife's name>, what part of Wisconsin is <city we live in> located?". As soon as it happened, my stomach dropped. I've been thinking about it ever since and still can't quite figure out how they are populating their facial recognition database. A couple more points:

    · There was nothing else the TSA agent could have used to identify my wife.
    · We had not had pictures/facial scans taken in any US Federal facility prior to this.
    · From the time my wife stood in front of the camera to the TSA agent starting to ask, maybe 3-5 seconds had elapsed.

Has anyone else experienced this? This Twitter thread with JetBlue seems to be a similar experience.

In order to cross an ocean with only PTP wireless connections, you'd need to have clear line of sight between radios, and the absolute maximum distance between radios would be something like 25-30 miles, and that's for the ridiculously expensive WISP equipment (Cielo, Siklu, etc).

As far as I know, it is physically impossible to have a light/laser strong enough to travel 2000 miles outside of a vacuum that would be able to carry any sort of significant bandwidth.

I know Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice isn't a true horror game, but it 100% deserves a mention here. I've only ever played the VR version, and the game is in third person, but there are certain parts that made me take my Oculus off for the rest of the night. The sheer amount of dread and anxiety the game is able to raise is nuts.

Couldn't believe how many scooters there were when I visited Denver in May.

However, she noted, people who have responded to surveys indicate they are more often using scooters to replace walking trips than car trips. If the scooter companies sold them as something else, then that's on them.

I feel like that's the point, though. People that work downtown and either live close to downtown or commute could park/live further away and it would allow them to get to work a little more quickly than walking.
