What have you been watching / reading this week? (Anime/Manga)
What have you been watching and reading this week? You don't need to give us a whole essay if you don't want to, but please write something! Feel free to talk about something you saw that was cool, something that was bad, ask for recommendations, or anything else you can think of.
If you want to, feel free to find the thing you're talking about and link to its pages on Anilist, MAL, or any other database you use!
Movies and old animes:
Gakkougurashi! or most known as School-Live!. Itʼs funny, because the reason of start was a cuts about a girl whith a showel. I very liked a start where me as watcher has two vision, and how two paralelles between surviving and common school life.
Bubble. Itʼs a case where drawing is very pretty but story doesnʼt resonance with and tgerefire it was so much boring that I watched the most part of the movie in faster speed. But I noticed another thing, the most of last movies (some of them already mentioned in older threads) usually have music addition.
For example, not mentioned anywhere Ai no Utagoe wo Kikasete has it too. The story is kinda simple but somewhere in a good way. And it has some really good scenes. Just in case, I watched it in 18th April but I still clearly remember about the amazing «lead you partner» scene. And, yeah, the list here isnʼt from «this week».
Summer Ghost. Just a story about some persons which do not know what to do with mistery of a dead girl. Nothing special but with some mood it watchable.
Gyokou no Nikuko-chan. A lively story with many word pans is about relationship between parent and child, and adulting.
Kamiarizuki no Kodomo. Againg nothing new, a story about «how to live without one parent» but in travel mode and some Japanese gods. Sadly, but nothing remarkable.
Gekijouban Shirobako. Well, I watched and liked the serial anime, so thereʼs the movie. Letʼs make an anime!
Eiga Daisuki Pompo-san. A simple story about movie making and actress. If speak about making then I prefer previous or Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na!.
School Days. Yeah, a classic anime. I really hate a main hero, and I like, *cough-cough*, the end. I also watched additional stories to this like Valentine Days and Magical Heart Kokoro-chan which I donʼt recommed to watch.
Chikyuugai Shounen Shoujo. Two elements which I love together: a [kinda hard] sci-fi and cosmos. There is also AI — another a pretty popular theme in movies/animes. But anime is good itself too. By the way, I you also like a hard sci-fi then I recommend Planetes which I rewatched a several times.
Vampire in the Garden. Netlix or not only sometimes like to create a movie into a serial. It has a good back drawing, but story it isnʼt so good. Maybe itʼs only for me and my mood, because I know some others like it. Itʼs a classic vamprie-human drama. I also didnʼt like it because of some word buildings, most notable: if we speak about technology elite vampires live in around 18 century and use no necessary kamikaze attacks, while humans live in very shit but 20 century.
But sometimes I like my friend recommendation: Heion Sedai no Idaten-tachi has many actions and crazy, chaotic, dark, fun and so on things.
