What have you been watching / reading this week? (Anime/Manga)

What have you been watching and reading this week? You don't need to give us a whole essay if you don't want to, but please write something! Feel free to talk about something you saw that was cool, something that was bad, ask for recommendations, or anything else you can think of.

If you want to, feel free to find the thing you're talking about and link to its pages on Anilist, MAL, or any other database you use!

I don't watch a lot of adaptations, because a lot of the time I feel like I get the thing I like, but worse. This time it was just as good.

While I was fetching that link, I noticed that the two top recommendations are Haibane Renmei and Shinsekai Yori, which are another two of my favorite series. Aside from the philosophy vibes, they really all have nothing in common, but they certainly occupy the same shelf in my mind. Highly recommend all of these series, especially Shinsekai Yori. I wrote more about that show in discussions on reddit than I have about any other show.

I still haven't finished Planetes yet, but my 10/10 pre-review as it is still applies. Hopefully the last few episodes don't disappoint
