Odd Taxi. A friend recommended it to me, and thank god he did. It is an under-looked gem.

I read about Odd Taxi in one of the previous anime threads on Tildes. I'm on episode 9. You may also like "Baccano!".

Last week while waiting for access and permissions for my new job I went through BOTH "Those Snow White Notes" and "OddTaxi".

They were both great shows for their own reasons. OddTaxi had a HUGE story that it brought together from all sorts of different perspectives, it's truly amazing how the writers did that. The attention to detail is staggering.

SWN story wasn't as deep or as engrossing as OT, but it wasn't trying to be. This story is more personal about finding yourself, your style, and integrating what you've learned from people you love and lookup to. It is a music-centric anime, as in it's about people playing a traditional Japanese instrument called the Shamisen. Some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard as the focal point in an anime.

What I watched in previous season

    • ODDTAXI. For me it is the best anime in this season, and it can be the best even in this year for me. It has good story with detailes and out-anime things, for example: audio-dramas, openning music video etc. Picture, yeah, is simple but non-standart and with meaning.

    • Shadows House. It has many similar things from previous anime: nice simple picture, not simple story but simpler. For me, an arc of labyrinth was too long, and I have some question. But I liked it anyway.

    • Godzilla: Singular Point. If speak again about story then this anime is also good! You may think that Godzilla = just action, but no there: action thru sci-fi via several scientists; searching answer etc. One not good thing is not good CGI for monsters.

    • 86. But good CGI is here. This anime about war and squadron with good story. There also some ties for me, because my country (Ukraine) has war with Russia.

    • Fumetsu no Anata e. It is just for non-stop crying. It is still going, cause anime has at least 20 series, and at least ond recap been.

    • Mars Red. There is kinda simple story about vamps. But I very liked a first ep and backgounds.

    • Vivy: Fluorite Eye`s Song. And there eyes and fighting.

    • Super Cub. It had a good start but somewhere of last series not so good.

    • Sentouin, Haken Shimasu!, (short name) Full Dive. There are kinda trash-comedies, and if I have mood then I like watch them. Just notice that secon anime is a parody on virtual reality games.

    About current season

    • Uramichi Onii-san is about pain in adult reality life in scene of kid show. Picture is simple but voices of speaking or singing are gold. It can be boring in later but I hope that I mistake.

    • Kobayashi-san Chi no Maidragon S. Nothing to say: I liked first season and mini-series.

    • Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki is isekai where main hero is building kingdom, so there mus be things about politic, economy etc or I hope so. One funny thing fo me: the openning remind me of old visual novel opennings. First 3 eps are kinda not bad so I keep watching.

    • Bokutachi no Remake, Shiroi Suna no Aquatope are stories about failure in works.

The first anime fix this in way of return back in time and changing college, and it is about developing arts, movie, games etc. There are ecchi sometimes. And second anime is about running from idol to worker of Aquapark. And the anime had some mystic things, and is from P.A. Works, I usually like their works.

    • Sonny Boy. Only one episode had released, so I can say only some things: teenagers have special powers and they are in closed space, so they are creating own rules and relations. And I liked this, especially when drawing is nice for me.

    • Night Head 2041 has very good CGI for me. Again: only one episode, superpowers and some rules. But there are not: only teenagers, closed place, everyone has power. There are kinda war between goverment (against superpower) and kinda a sect of superpower.

    • Kageki Shoujo!!. I liked Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight before, so I hope I would like this too where girls with different nature have a challenge to be 1st of musical theater.
