Something that absolutely blows my mind about Turn Off the Dark: the show is so cue-dense that one stage manager couldn't actually call all the cues quickly enough. Their solution was to have two stage managers, with the crew headset routing set up so that half of the crew could hear each SM, and the SMs could hear each other. Each SM would read the prompts for their cues, and then one of them would call "And GO" while the other would call "GO" simultaneously. I've heard audio of this (got it from a friend-of-a-friend-of-someone-who-worked-on-it) and the fact that it works as well as it does just blows my mind.
