Thanks for posting this! I hate this show. I hate the way it spreads crappy stereotypes about APIs. I’m an actor and I understand needing to work and taking a job like this to get your foot in the door - I’ve heard that if you’re Asian in NYC and you don’t have Miss Saigon on your resume you won’t be taken seriously at auditions. I haven’t auditioned there and don’t know how accurate that is, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it is accurate. But I totally agree with the writer, it’s time to retire Miss Saigon and have something new. Am cautiously optimistic for Crazy Rich Asians this summer, but I wish there was an awesome Asian American story in tv or film or theater. Something as great as Hamilton, but with more for women to do, haha.
Me too! I'm really looking forward to Crazy Rich Asians. Oh, and Hamilton was just so powerful and energetic - I would love to see something like that for us :)

I cried a ton when the whole cast lined up on the edge of the stage in the first number, it was so inspiring. :) Fingers crossed we get to see something as incredible as Hamilton by and for API audiences someday!
