Exemplary
I don't have much to say about this, but I have been in a really bad mode for a long time. I haven't shared much work anywhere in the last months.
I guess I can say that this one is a bit more disturbing and aggressive than my usual work. I'm actually quite happy with how it turned out and the many different structures in it were a new approach for me.
I don't know the woman whoms photo was the inspiration for this, I found her searching "IMG" plus random numbers on google and clicked myself trough ancient abandoned webpages. Tons of vacation shoots, house remodelings and quincieneras. So somewhere in this world is a person that doesn't know she is in this painting. The source photo was not a selfie by the way but rather a spur of the moment kitchen snapshot by her husband.
Happy for any input. Especially if you dislike it, dont be shy.
It's got character. I like it when visual art has character: makes it stand out. Also, reminds me of skill icons in Disco Elysium (Psyche, Physique, Motorics, and Intellect): visceral, expressive.

Thank you! Looking trough those, I can see the connection. I like those icons too, they are well made.
