Now that I drive, I barely ever it a bug, and it's eerie.

So dad bought it, had it stamped with our dog's name, and we drove home with it on the car. After a single drive, dad decided to take the plate off the car because it was so full of bugs that you couldn't see the dog.
It kind of horrified me when I realized that, sometime between then and when I got my first car, the bug population had become so decimated that I don't know that I've ever had a dead bug on my car.
Fireflies used to make summer nights feel magical. Now it's a wonder to see any of them at all.
