It is insane that the GOP is so regressive on climate, health, and the environment. The fact that Wheeler does not take climate change seriously enough and has not even read or been briefed on the IPCC Climate Change Report should be reason enough to disqualify him.
Even if climate change were not real, rolling back auto emissions standards, allowing more pollution from power plans from the elimination of the Clean Power Plan, and easing water regulations is going to literally kill people.
EPA's own analysis of the elimination of the Clean Power Plan proposal says this this new rule would cause between 470 and 1,400 premature deaths due to ozone-related causes and other factors by 2030.
