When I visited Guadalajara in 2016, I was constantly amazed by the polarising nature of just how bright & hot (oh my god, I've never been somewhere quite as warm—the sun felt like it was pushing me downwards into the pavement) during the day, and then at night there'd be these massive thunderstorms that you couldn't really hear over the city noise, followed by torrential downpours.
It's a beautiful and friendly city, I can't wait to visit again.
