this is a novel concept which is going to get pretty depressing when we probably blow by 2C of warming and end up in the 3-3.5C range, thereby condemning a large number of these glaciers to destruction by global warming since it occurs faster at the poles and regions adjacent to them. i fully anticipate they're going to have to make like, 100 of these in the century to come, because there is no sign we're going to put the brakes on in time currently.
