Adam's whole "cooking as a means of upward mobility" angle seems forced. The idea that 19 year-old Ramsay decides to study hospitality because that's his meal ticket to rub shoulders with nobility is a rather absurd hypothesis, especially given that it was before the era of celebrity chefs. Unless Ragusea thinks this of every hospitality student from 1985 it's a profoundly unfair and weirdly long tangent.
Eric Ripert is also on the record as not being a fan of Gordon Ramsay's persona. But I think he comes across a lot more thoughtful.
Perhaps it's just because I've never listened to Adam's podcast, but in his cooking videos he's much more precise. This video comes across as snooty and arrogant, with constant shots at Gordon's appearance and unfounded asides casting doubt upon Ramsay's anecdotes. I made it thirteen minutes in before I couldn't take any more, and left with a soured impression of Ragusea.
Obviously it's a different sort of video than his cooking videos. But his cooking videos are excellent because they have clarity, a degree of precision, and an attention to detail. None of these...

But his cooking videos are excellent because they have clarity, a degree of precision, and an attention to detail. None of these are present here.
This doesn't seem like a profile, it's a wildly rambling hit piece done in an off-putting, smug tone.

Should tag it as a video.
