Epic Games is taking a PR beating right now, but I think in the end people will either stick with PS4 or make a new account for other platforms. It's a win for everyone either way.
I tend to agree. Sony has a diehard fanbase and they can use that as leverage to employ shitty tactics like that with no noticeable downside. But one thing I don't fully get is, when I use my year...

But one thing I don't fully get is, when I use my year old epic games account that i used exclusively on pc, have some wallet funds in it and would link it with ps4, would it "pollute" my account and I couldnt use it with other consoles anymore? or is this limited to accounts that were created through ps4?
I think it's rather safe to assume that given any ambiguity, any hellishly large and faceless corporation probably cares little for the welfare of its customers unless it significantly interferes...
