    Fascinating article. The only contemporary philosopher I'm remotely familiar with is Daniel Dennett. He sounds like someone as a crossover between the schism the article speaks of.

      Apart from some specific feuds, many (maybe most) contemporary philosophers seem to care very little about the opposition between analytics and continentals. Analytics will rely on continental philosophers at times, and continentals will gladly engage in logical abstraction. Some reject the distinction outright. But there is certainly a marked difference between English-speaking philosophy and others.
