Incredible. And first Ive ever heard of Sweden being involved in a eugenics plan. It sounds as bad or worse than what the Nazis did in Germany, because the cause for sterilization could be so trite - all done with the public's knowledge based on "science." Oh how wrong entire populations can be, but sometimes it takes us a couple of decades to realize how terrible we humans can be to each other.
I've never heard about this before and it's utterly terrifying. I can't imagine how scared people must have been, like Maj-Britt, where she was carted off to an asylum and sterilized just because she wasn't fortunate enough to be able to attend school.
While this is MILES worse than the covid pandemic, I wonder if we'll eventually look back on Sweden's handling of the pandemic in a similar way (considering their ridiculously high death toll in the first year of the pandemic due to their non-lockdown strategy).
