I am wondering this myself. I've been adding a few buildings in my area but now I feel a bit paralysed knowing that it's wasted effort if an AI can do it but in the meantime I can't add some other meaningful information without adding the buildings too.
I won't be discouraged by the prospect of all human endeavour being obsolete when the singularity arrives soontm. However it seems at least plausible that this technology will be applied to osm...

However it seems at least plausible that this technology will be applied to osm given Microsoft has already allowed use of bing aerial imagery and many edits near me were made by microsoft employees.
My current routine of taking notes and using street complete during the day then cleaning up the loose ends when home will remain.
It does put a bit of a pause on considering more ambitious ideas such as drawing every building in my city which is something that may take so long that I'd see ai implemented before I was finished.
In all probability the robots will have taken over before I could convince my mum to use osmand.
