I realize this thread is deleted now but I wanted to come back today and see if some meaningful discussion had happened on it. Apparently not. The title could have been less shocking, sure, but I actually found that the video answered some questions I had about people with uncommon artistic fetishes, from at least one person's perspective. I certainly didn't find anything offensive about it. I didn't have fully-formed thoughts to comment on it at the time, but figured I'd swing back around today to see where the discussion had gone and maybe chime in.
I'm now a little more concerned about the reaction on Tildes than I am with anyone who has a dragon art fetish. The comments you received were not respectful on the whole, and while there were some meaningful opinions expressed on the topic, overall it was less than I've come to expect from Tildes and in some places gave more Voat vibes than anything.
I guess I just don't find this subject matter any more out there than furry art in general, so coming back to a removed thread on it feels unusual for here.

For someone who likes tying someone up or blindfolding them or likes feet or whatever I think they'd have an ok time finding a partner, surely there are a decent number of people who are also into it or are willing to accommodate them because they love them.
But fetishes that only really exist on the internet like dragons or inflation or something else that's not physically possible just makes me so sad. This man has these desires that he'll never be able to fulfill no matter what he does. He even talks about how he's been able to make some great friendships because there's zero expectation of sex. It's like he's functionally asexual when it comes to people but he's not actually asexual.
To me this sounds like someone who is very lonely and spends his time trying to cope with this loneliness by justifying it in some way. At least he doesn't seem to be bitter and angry about it.
