    I feel like the terms thrown around when it comes to the left and right are used to create stigma. I feel like they just lump things under a term so they can then associate negativity with it....

    I feel like the terms thrown around when it comes to the left and right are used to create stigma. I feel like they just lump things under a term so they can then associate negativity with it. Even if two things are different, they will put it all in one box to be able to be dismissive. Just like the term leftist. That is a propaganda term.

      A good book that encapsulates how biases are formed and how are reality is shaped by the way our mind works is Daniel Kahneman's Thinking Fast and Slow. Here are two videos, one a review highlighting key concepts from the book and a longer lecture by Kahneman himself:

        Thanks for the suggestions I like books and videos like this I will check these out. Unintentional bias is a fascinating subject. It's crazy how many people don't see it.
