This is a mix of music, mainly disco and synth-pop from the late '70s and early '80s.

The mix is in chronological order, so at the start, Kraftwerk- and Moroder-inspired tracks and a lot of space disco (thanks to Star Wars exploding into the culture) and "boogie" (thanks to thousands of artists copying Chic's "Good Times"). Around '80, the mainstream disco market imploded, so after that, artists who wanted to make "futuristic" music gravitated to Italo-disco, Electro or New Wave, which this mix also reflects.

I included some very common songs, but I lived through the era, so I also included some very obscure ones I know.

The full track listing goes on too long to post here, but here it is as a cue file

I can't help adding - this kind of self-promotion completely nauseates me. I get nothing out of it in terms of clout (I hate and rarely use social media); nothing out of it in terms of career (I don't make music, or dj, nothing to sell). I just spent way too long (more details on HN) trying to make something that people into this sort of music would find special, so I'd like it to find a few of those people.

This sounds really interesting - I'll definitely check it out when I have some time. Thanks!
