One of my favorite songs of all time. Some of Gener's best lyrics as well. "Though love has its place in the sun, it's only Man's fear that carries him on" is probably my top 3 lyrics of all time....

The guitar solo in the outro also makes me cry pretty often. Such a cathartic ending but I can never pin what emotion it's pulling out from me
It's definitely best to stumble upon choice songs when it comes to Ween - deep dives will yield mixed results if you aren't expecting it haha. You may like Tried and True as well.

Quebec is a fantastic album. For me The Argus was always one of those sleeper tracks that didn’t quite stick in my head, but each time it came on it hit me hard. I got really into Ween in college...

I got really into Ween in college (late 2000s). There’s something about their willingness to be free and experimental that makes them really unique. They shift genres so easily, sometimes as parody but always with underlying musical skill. And then occasionally they really slam you with something honest and emotional like I Don’t Want It.
It’s been a while since I listened to them - I think they’ll be my soundtrack at work today.

Ween is one of those bands that I am always surprised by when one of their songs crosses my path.
