    For the uninitiated, UTAU is a Japanese singing synthesizer application created by Ameya/Ayame (飴屋/菖蒲). This program is similar to the VOCALOID software, with the difference being it is shareware instead of under a third party licensing. (stolen from Wikipedia)

      We always need more vocal synth stuff on Tildes. It's my favorite art scene, though I lean more heavily toward Vocaloid (Crypton and InternetCo voice banks) than Utau or the various newcomers. It has so much creative potential, collaborative energy and weird lore.

      I'm really excited about going to one of the Miku Expo concert stops this year, which is the first international Hatsune Miku tour since before the pandemic. They just added three repeat concert dates and another city due to the 17 (?) concerts selling out, and are going to be at Coachella too.
