    I currently have four versions of Mack the Knife in my audio collection: Bobby Darin, Sinatra with Sammy Davis, Michael Buble, and my favorite, a piano duet with Marian McPartland and Lionel Hampton. Sting, I believe, did a version straight from 3 Penny Opera. Another standard I'm fascinated by is Moonglow. Thanks for the Fitzgerald connection!

    I went to school with a focus on music and it's frustrating that America's first true music is largely ignored. I hope that changes. There's something to be said about the significance of improvisation in any art form.
