Ten years ago today The Hip played their last concert. After lead singer Gord Downie was diagnosed with brain cancer, they decided to go on tour one last time, with their last show ending in Downie's home town of Kingston, ON. This concert was watched by nearly 12 million people, roughly a third of all Canadians.
Today, two hours from this post, the CBC is rebroadcasting their last live show.
