I'm a fan of July Talk, they did good to balance the gravely, Tom Wait-esque voice of Peter Dreimanis with Leah Fay. Last time I saw them live it was Leah's birthday and she was just absolutely trashed on stage, but she's a consummate musician and didn't let it affect her singing, just the inbetween parts were a bit of trainwreck.

Basically she came off like she didn't want to have anything to do with Peter but realized they were going somewhere and got on board. I really like the back and fourth they put into the duets. It really works.
There was a performance they did. I forget what it was for, but it was a big performance for them. I mean a big event and Leah tried way to hard to go all out and was very out of breath. Their live stuff is so good when they keep it simple.
