How would you guys feel about a recurring "released this week" thread?
It's just a quick thought but having a thread like that might be really neat-o.
Something like all parent comments just mentioning the one album, with links to previous discussions, or relevant reviews/discussions elsewhere?
Not really my cup of tea, but I have no objections to it happening.
hah, fair enough. I figure building in the pattern now would be helpful. (and should be properly tagged, and blocking/hiding based on tags is meant to be coming soon)
I like filters applied to the things I listen to - because there's 100 things released in xyz timeframe and I usually have the time to listen to 2. So what would be great for me in the long term would be a ~music.newrelease with a newreleasebot with a post per track, so I can look at top voted per time period and listen to stuff other people thought was worth a vote. Then of course we get to drill down into other tags in the future with stuff like ~music.newrelease.pickamusicgenrehonestlytheyallconfusemelikewtfevenismartialindustrial
Huh, so maybe a ~music.newrelease.[genre], that gathers the top posts (or posts past a certain threshold, etc) from each [genre] subgroup into a weekly thread in ~music.newrelease, or something like that?
How do you figure a bot works into this?
For scraping label/indie release vectors to make the posts
