Some history about the beef between Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly. With the surprise release of Eminem's album Kamikaze, Em took aim at many people including Machine Gun Kelly. MGK tweeted that Eminem's daughter was "hot as fuck", when he was 22 and she was 16. Eminem traditionally doesn't take it well when people talk about his daughters. It was known he banned MGK from his radio station, Shade45. But what might not be known as well is that apparently Eminem tried to shelf MGK's album by pressuring P.Diddy and Jimmy Lovine, the founders of labels MGK was attached to. He also apparently pulled a verse that MGK made on Yelawolf's album, YW is signed to Eminem's label. This all comes up in MGK's Rap Devil, response to songs on Kamikaze that targeted him, 27 times to be exact.

Now on to this song, I'm not an MGK fan, he's barely been on my radar, considering the that Eminem effectively hamstrung him every chance he's got since the tweet, I think I now know why. But holy crap, when Kamikaze came out I figured there wouldn't be anyone with the balls, and the chops, to reply to any of the disses in that album in a way that they could hold their own against Shady, but I think I might be wrong. This song and video was created in a few days and I'm really impressed by the quality, although I feel like a lot of it might have been cocked an loaded for a while considered it's been a long time coming. I am really excited to see where this beef is gonna go, whether Eminem ruin MGKs career like he did Ja Rule's or will it propel it to the next level. I'm hoping the latter if this is the level of quality coming from him. I'll be checking him out more in depth from now on.

Damn this is really interesting. I'm not a huge MGK fan musically, but I caught him at a festival earlier this year and the only person I can compare his live performance to is Kid Rock. I'm not a Kid Rock fan what-so-ever but I make the comparison because KR puts on insane live performances. I was thoroughly impressed with MGK live, you can tell the dude is an entertainer at heart and loves his fans. He's used to be kind of a dick but he also seems like hes grown up a lot. I'm hoping this doesn't end what hes trying to create.

Never heard MGK, didn't even know of him till this beef showed up. Maybe my age is showing but if you're going to name your song as a reference to Rap God, it better be lyrical and rhythmic genius. Sure, the disses are decent, and he might be right that it's unfair to try to silence young "talent", but I don't see the art or talent in the lyrics and rapping itself. Almost no metaphor whatsoever and talent-wise, I feel like anyone could have performed this.
