Some fantastic prospects lately. Jorge Mateo started up well but kind of fell off? Agreed on Westburg and Gunnar, really fantastic.
Also Santander has been solid after a rough start to the year.
Hope you guys keep this up!

Judge was incredible last year, he helped me win my fantasy league. Really a bummer about the injury this year - Ohtani is on track to match his homers, which is insane as well.
German is just... bizarre to me. I feel like he is not really a standout pitcher, and yet just threw the first perfect game in over a decade..? Imagine being Gerrit Cole and witnessing that 😂
Hard to say what their problem is right now outside of Judge being injured (and the eternal injuries of Stanton). There's obviously talent there, but something is missing..?

This is the supercut version but there are I think 6 episodes within it, so you can pause whenever, or watch each individual episode.

M's are such a crazy and great team. I root for them as underdogs, probably growing up watching that same era with Ken Griffey Jr. and Ichiro. I was a diehard Yankees fan growing up (sorry) and definitely remember some incredible moments.
Right now I love watching M's pitching. Hope you guys can really up the offensive performance to match!

I grew up watching baseball with my brother, lost interest for a while, but was reignited when I started to play in a fantasy league. Sabermetrics are my favorite, I’ll probably be posting FanGraphs articles periodically.

Trying to jump ship from Reddit after 16 years there. Been in and out of Tildes since it started and just realized there’s no baseball discussion at all, and coincidentally Deimos just added this subgroup!
Hope we can get some activity going in here. Highlights, stats, prospects, team discussion etc.

Your projects look fun, and I like your ethos of just digging in and doing it. Might try fiddling around with midi this weekend from your inspiration. I'd like to use one of my Raspberry pis to make a drum machine or other midi controller.
To get further down the rabbit hole, I've been looking for something similar to C Sound but in Python, or, otherwise some way to easily generate interesting audio. I used PD for a bit which is fun (check it out if you like making music), I might try it again with the midi hookup for ease of use.

I took the day off work today and was fretting about it because I'm fine, but there's a lot of shit happening to people I love or their family members. Feels almost selfish to say that I need a day, since "I'm fine" but everything is weighing on me so heavy lately. This article was perfect to help me feel validated.

Then, if I go to someone else's island where their native fruit is apples or something, if I sell my oranges on their island, I get 500 a pop.

Main source of revenue has been getting fruits from other islands and planting orchards. Each fruit sells for $500 on it's non-native island. Also sell your native fruit on friends' islands.
Edit: Friend code is SW 2194 6592 2230 if anyone wants to add me.
I’ll add something a bit late to the discussion: there is no incentive as it does not generate profit.
More and more public goods and needs are falling by the wayside in the US for this simple reason.
Can’t fix bridges, can’t fix potholes, can’t build a bullet train, can’t even maintain existing railways, can’t have public healthcare, can’t solve homelessness because none of this drives a profit and that is all our country cares about anymore.
