If it's good, this might be a major factor in deciding to switch back to Spotify. I'm also curious how or why it's free though, are they displaying ads in the interface or anything similar?

Based on my discussions with the developer, he's trying to build something that a company like Spotify would be interested in acquiring. I haven't heard if anything has come of this. As far as I understand, server costs are pretty inexpensive since Spotify handles all the licensing and streaming.
