Took me a few listens but I think I've unpacked a good bit of the song so far. That is a fretless electric guitar in there, and i think it sounds wonderful! I like the more upbeat/poppy sound of the two songs we have so far, but I hope we get some more grandiose/cathartic songs like the songs off of Stranger Heads Prevail. I would also very much like more violin solos.

That's also quite the, uh, creative music video

Really delving into this jazz rock genre as of late so the brass was a plus. But, without it, it's just plain rock which is sorta boring for me.

Do you have a favorite album of theirs?

Their second album Stranger Heads Prevail seems, to me, to be a much more mature and fleshed out record. Check out Need More Input, Psychopomp, Mr. Invisible, and Blue Automatic. The Amateur Arsonist's Handbook also has a badass violin solo. I definitely wouldn't say it's plain rock without brass, though. It's definitely pretty experimental/prog 😅

Oh damn, you're right! That song is ~9 minutes of instrumental goodness and I'd be remiss if I were not to recommend it. Definitely check out Rube Goldberg Variations @Kill_Me_Now_World
