This is still one of my favorite songs to come out this year, I listen to it a lot. Everything about it is really well done, and I think it's one of those songs that does a great job of telling a story even while not actually saying very much explicitly. Not exactly uplifting, but I also really like these lines in the lyrics:

I blamed my father in my youth
Now as a father, I blame the booze

(I also edited the link to point to the music video on their official channel, instead of just audio)

Ah, thanks for the link change! Normally I don't link to/watch official music videos because I'm never watching when I listen/they often add noise that isn't music at the beginning/end of the video, but this is indeed a good video.

I love the feelings this song gives me. It's an incredibly somber song, but it has a bit of tragic beauty to it. It gives me the impression of a story about a man who dealt with a troubled childhood, by way of an abusive/neglectful father, and tried to grow up to not be like that, only to fall into the exact same steps as his father. "All my sympathy prescribed" is one of my favorite lines. It sounds, to me, like he's on antidepressants/some mood altering medication, along with some other parts of the song is the writer lamenting about his inability to feel "normally", hence, Uncomfortably Numb. I really like this song and I've been listening to the album a fair bit, trying to digest it all. Lots of small things, and it's a genre I've never really tapped into before. I'm loving it so far.
