From The Metallica Blacklist, an album of covers of tracks from the seminal Black Album, released today.
There's some really great stuff on there, and some terrible things too. But Ghost can do no wrong in my opinion (someone described them to me as "putting the Abba into Sabbath" and I think that's pretty spot on).

Ghost isn't on the included playlist link there yet, but I'm sure it will be. Of the new songs added to the list since the last discussion, thoughts:
Ghost - Not bad. I'm not a huge Ghost fan, but I enjoy a good chunk of their music. Don't prefer it over the original though. Now, Ghost has covered Enter Sandman before, with Candlemass, and Vargas & Lagola, but it's not the Blacklist version, but is better in my opinion.
Rodrigo y Gabriela - Acoustic instrumental-only version of The Struggle Within and it's pretty good, gave me background music over a timelapse impressions.
Kamasi Washington - I do not like jazz.
Rina Sawayama - This ain't bad! Without they typical long intro of Metallica's older songs, this could probably pass for modern.
IDLES - Very British punk, I'll leave it at that.
Royal Blood - Harder than their normal stuff, but well played and works. Nice cover, original is recognizable, band has their own spin on it.
Goodnight, Texas - Not a huge fan of folk music as it seems to have an extremely low barrier to entry and so there's a lot of truly awful folk music, but this is pretty darn good. Checked out a few of their other songs and will dig further into their catalog as a result.
Chris Stapleton - As stated before, Metallica has heavy country music influences and so a lot of what they've made works in the reverse. It feels a little too slow at parts, but youtube's 1.25x is too fast.
Phoebe Bridgers - No thanks. Best part of this song is when it ends and the playlist goes directly to the amazing Tomi Owó cover.
Heh, I quite liked the Phoebe Bridgers version. Agree about Ghost et al's cover from a few years back being better though. The thing about Blacklist, as an album, is that (a) it's FAR TOO BLOODY...

The thing about Blacklist, as an album, is that (a) it's FAR TOO BLOODY LONG,. There are 12 versions of Nothing Else Matters alone. I've been listening to the damn thing on and off all day and I still haven't heard it all.
(b) is that a decent chunk of it is just people doing Metallica songs. I mean obviously it's all Metallica songs, but lots of them are too close to the originals to be particularly interesting. Like Royal Blood, The Hu and Idles and so on. Sure, there's nothing particularly bad about them but I might as well be listening to the originals.
Of the minority remainder who did something a bit different there's a lot of variety, both in style and quality. Some are truly dire - Sam Fender's insipid Sad But True is probably the worst so far, I didn't even make it a minute into that I don't think.
The Chats'Holier Than Thou is predictably jolly silly punk fun. Jason Isbell's rockabilly Sad But True is excellent and possibly my favourite of all of them. It's up there with Miley and Ghost, easily. Chase and Status had an interesting take on Wherever I May Roam which pretty good (I don't really like C+S generally, they're a bit weaksauce); as is the Mexican Institute of Sound's version of Sad But True. I also enjoyed J Balvin'sWherever I May Roam although it felt a bit more like a track which sampled Metallica rather than a cover version.
Yeah, thoughts when reading their initial description... 1 Album (yeah, that makes sense) - 12 Songs (yeah, that's an appropriate amount of songs for an album) - 53 Artists (wait, I thought you...

I get that the really popular songs are the ones even other artists that have been influenced by Metallica are most likely to pick up, but Metallica's catalog is 162 songs long. A little variety would be nice. I'll wait until I've had a chance to listen to all of the songs individually and buy those I like, I've only listened to those on the playlist so far.
On a side note: It's some BS that FLAC version of the album is more expensive (by $20!) than the MP3 download.
To be fair, this project is specifically in regard to the 30th anniversary of the Black album, which has.... 12 songs. The final release is far too much though. I might drop a couple into a...

Well, FLAC is a waste of disk space so I guess it might as well be a waste of money as well. ;-)

I think I prefer this to the original. Thanks for sharing!
