Weekly US politics news and updates thread - week of August 15

This is an eye opening example of a QAnon faction that seems to have melted into an in-the-flesh idol worshiping cult (or maybe that’s nothing new for QAnon? I’m not even sure anymore). This story isn’t immediately US-related but more of a spillover from the past several years of US events.
