How you can be so clearly guilty you get owned in the civil case yet get off in the criminal while facing multiple federal charges and with a history of 23 use of force violations is fucking insane.

I realize the difference between case types but I cannot accept him beating federal charges when there’s video evidence of him breaking bones with a flashlight while someone screams, “I’m not resisting!” All for fucking improper lane use?

I accept being a cop is hard. That you're seeing people at their worst all day every day. That maybe you affirm your bigotry through biased exposure or whatever.

But I need this shit to stop. Beating someone on camera for traffic violations needs to be harder to get away with in criminal court. We need federal policy to lean on — not just precedence — with mandatory sentencing.

Edit: we need…something. I’m not a great legal mind and I want to respect the justice system but feel like my emotions steer me away from due process and into punitive Roman emperor territory.
