I'm interested in California because 1) it's where I live, and 2) the jungle primary is weird. CA-49, CA-48, and CA-50 are all races I'm watching because the incumbents are vulnerable and it seems like the crowded field of candidates could cut both ways.
538 also pointed out that it's possible to have Dems only running for Governor and Senate due to the jungle primary which would make California an orphan state for the GOP. Parties without people running on the top of a ticket tend to not show up to vote.
Jungle primary = everyone runs against everyone and the top two candidates regardless of party affiliation survive and go to a general election.
