Get ready for the Democratic party to get a lot more conservative. I predict the rise of a new progressive party if the G.O.P. really goes belly up.

I know if I were a Dem I'd tell this guy to sit at home and let us handle it. The current leadership will probably ask him what donors he can connect them to. He's not coming to the Party because he changed his mind on anything, he doesn't suddenly agree with the agenda. He just feels out of place in the GOP since they've doubled down on courting the lowest common denominator racists.
