I find this whole caravan thing really interesting, I'm really not sure how to feel about the response. On one hand these are people in need, they are fleeing a really bad situation. There are women and children that are in the middle of protests that seems like it can only get more violent. On the other hand, it is an absurd amount of people to take into a country at once, and there is no guarantee they can all be documented efficiently, and then when they do get to their destination, what do they do? How long are they there?

What's even more interesting is the back and forth between the migrants and protesters. The protesters being called racists and the migrants being called illegal aliens. I don't think being skeptical of thousands of people pouring into your border is inherently racist, but the way they call these people "animals" certainly is. I also don't think people seeking refuge from a nation in turmoil should be dehumanized and turned away, but who is going to feed all these people and for how long? I am not sure if I am looking at this the wrong way but it's concerning how no one seems to be talking about the situation in a nuanced way.

It is definitely a situation with a lot of layers that tends to be treated as black and white sadly. Being skeptical or strongly against this particular migration does not mean you are a racist....

Being skeptical or strongly against this particular migration does not mean you are a racist. Out of all the people who are against it, the racist ones are calling them animals.

I think you're seeing things accurately. People will always leave a bad situation for a good one but allowing or facilitating that on a large scale is not practical.
