This pandering from "progressive" European countries drives me mad. It's so slimey and they do it every single conflict. This invasion was known about for a while even for people with only a passing interest in the Syrian civil war. It was certainly known about more than 3 weeks ago when they sold Turkey drones! A deal which they are going to honour by the way, the same as they will honour all the deals made over the past few years in which most of the world has been arming up the teeth, especially in the middle east. Or like KSA earlier in the year, the Nordics had no problem sucking at the teat when KSA nearly doubled their military budget over a 5 year period. Shockingly they weren't doing that for self defence and when the war started they "halted arms exports" while still honouring contracts.

It's the worst of all worlds for the people being oppressed. They face European armed countries and European countries don't do anything because Joe Public and Joe Politician is too busy patting themselves on the back for suspending new arms deals for a few months.
