    Sounds like the Chinese Communist Party is about to become actually communistic. Will be interesting to see if this will be the start of the end for the party or if it will boost the country further. Xi probably isn't doing this out of the love in his heart, but probably because this is just the next step in his bid to secure power in China and ensure that he is, under all circumstances, the absolutely last instance of power.

    When I read this article at face value, my first reaction was that this could be a pivotal point where China actually pulls past the US in terms of prosperity.

    The critical part of me sees all kinds of caveats to this view, including the idea people have that the Chinese Communist party is manipulating,devious, and dishonest. Then there's the argument that the New York Times is liberally political and that this is mainly a propaganda piece.

    Or the reality could be somewhere between face value and high cynicism. I expect that's the case, but time will answer questions like these.
