      Bugger. I didn't even realise that! Even though one of the reasons I chose "Algernon" is because of that story about that mouse, I also associate it with the character Algernon Moncrieff in Oscar...

      Bugger. I didn't even realise that! Even though one of the reasons I chose "Algernon" is because of that story about that mouse, I also associate it with the character Algernon Moncrieff in Oscar Wilde's play 'The Importance of Being Earnest' (I played that character on stage once). That's actually my first thought whenever someone mentions "Algernon". I didn't even remember the connection to mice... :/

        Trust me, the users here have already figured it out, they just don't have a word for it yet. A lot of the userbase was recruited from /r/theoryofreddit it seems, so basically armchair philosophers, navel-gazers, pseudo-intellectual meta-jerkers and the ilk.
