I was introduced to this whole elsevier and open acess movement thing pretty recently. I have read couple of articles about it but I couldn't find any of them even trying look at it from Elsevier's perspective. I found this podcast from reddit, it seems pretty civil and rational discourse about the matter which includes rational perspectives from both sides. Podcast had William Gunn, director of scholarly communications for Elsevier and Alex Holcombe, cognitive scientist and open science advocate.
