Having known about this for a while and trying in vain to move various colleagues and acquaintances from apathy to at least concern, it's good to have a summary of AI-enabled surveillance already in use that can be shared and fairly easily digested. However, as much as I understand the effort Wendover makes here to not appear to be sensationalizing, the dangers here are sadly undersold IMO. If you have a cursory knowledge of abuses of power by various sets of alphabet boys targeting US citizens throughout US history, and/or any sense of how rapidly technology advances, it's very hard to be optimistic.
