I think tomorrow is going to be the first time in quite a while that I'll genuinely feel a little worried for the men in the cockpits of the Grand Prix cars as the red lights go out. Bianchi and Surtees died for stupid reasons - there was no excuse for those accidents to happen - and there's no reason for them to happen again. Yet watching the Grand Prix tomorrow, the chance will remain - though small - that the fate that befell Hubert could just as easily come to meet any other man brave enough to do battle around Spa in a single-seater racecar. Carbon is enormously strong - strong enough to have saved the lives of Alonso, Kubica, and Sato among others - but it cannot work miracles, and that has been brought into sharp relief today.

Let us go racing tomorrow, but let us do so with heavy hearts as we mourn Anthoine, and with the hope that others may be more fortunate.
