The games were good fun. Made some good interceptions, played some nice passes and made plenty of rookie mistakes. Also ran around a lot and played all over the pitch. Had a blast all in all

I will be on my way to Ankara in a few hours with my brother, where we'll buy furniture and electronics for my apartment. I've managed to pack almost all of my stuff into the four suitcases I have, hopefully tomorrow they won't say it's too much at the train station. I'm also on a tight-ish budget, so IDK how much stuff I will manage to sort out. But hey, I'm really moving into my own home, and that's exciting!
After 2 years of b.s. legal crap, I just finally settled my inheritance with my half-sister whom I haven’t seen since she was 4 yrs old. She got the money, I got dad’s farmhouse in Poland. Life is...

Life is really weird. Went from living in a tiny Santa Monica apartment, to a house on the Polish/Czech border.
I will be shoveling 6 tons of coal for the winter that will be delivered tomorrow. I can’t believe I am dealing with coal. This is the 21st century, correct?
I am researching PV solar+geothermal heat pump for next year. The costs for that are pretty steep, so I need to work my butt off this next year.
I am learning all about house maintenance now. TIL that if a gutter is messed up, the house will sink on that side and there will be cracks in the wall.
Why did you move from CA to Poland? Was it because of the house or something else? That sounds like a lot of work but really rewarding at the same time. Congrats and good luck!

Yeah, it was to secure the house, and deal with all of this. She lives in UAE, so it was all on me to take care of things on the ground. The timing was actually ok for me, aside from the death...

The timing was actually ok for me, aside from the death part and all... I had just had a startup business fail in California, was recently single, so major upheaval was almost welcome.

I'm going to try to work on my plat/action prototype, as I want to refine all the mechanics into a state machine, which is something I'm not very familiar with doing, as well as find a feasible method for level shifting, as I don't have one yet.
The level shifting thing is tough because it cannot function entirely the same way that a Zelda NES/GB style one would, due to variable level sizes affecting the camera. Unfortunately there's not a lot of tutorials for that in Godot.

There will be laundry in there somewhere, as well as some cleaning. On the weekend I'm hoping to catch up with a few friends over some Fibbage.
Playing a full soccer game for the first time.
Any backstory to this? Am curious to hear your thoughts when you've done it.

Spent 3 hours weed whacking today. Yard looks great, I’m a happy Polak.

Edit: and thanks u/tunneljumper!
I hope you enjoy Poland!
