For those who don't know, Howtown is science-y "how do they know" Youtube channel hosted by the excellent Joss Fong (formerly of Vox) and the equally talented Adam Cole (formerly NPR), both former science reporters. This episode is their first showdown where they take the opposite sides of an argument and present evidence supporting/refuting the premise at hand. In this case, they wanted to discuss whether or not social media is the major driver of declining mental health in kids.
As a bonus, I'm linking this episode from one of my favorite podcasts, If Books Could Kill, which tackles "The Anxious Generation" by Jonathan Haidt and is one of the big reasons the "social media is responsible for declining mental health in children" theory gained popularity.
